is there a point to reading on adderall or the like or will i not retain any of it because i typically just cant be fucked to sit down and read but i would like to write my own literature and have it not turn out into a cryptic series of heiroglyphs that translate into some moon rune shit

what the fuck I have adhd and can't get through a movie but books are things you can read at your own pace.
Just take it slow when you want read fast when you want as song as you're able to retain whatever the hell you're reading. Take notes

Get one of those kitchen alarms (or just use your phone), set it for 20 minutes. Read until the alarm goes of, then check your phone, 4chan, whatever for 5 minutes. Then read another 20.
I don't remember what this study technique is called but it helps me a lot.
