Apart from Hegel and Lacan, reading Zizeks notable seems to require knowledge of some 20'th century German philosophers. It's tough.

There's an interview where he basically said out of the 40 or so books he's written 4 or 5 are important. Sublime object was one of them....I can't remember the rest. I'd start with sublime object....The preface by laclau in is worth the price of the book alone.
