>What was Neil Gaiman thinking when he was writing this episode?
oh, the usual stuff. motes of dust twinkling in the afternoon sun. the laughter of children playing a game with sinister overtones from the distant past. young girls saving the universe with the power of dreams, unicorn farts and pixie giggles. what he thinks of most of the time when he isn't down in his cellar violating the corpse of Enid Blyton.
Haha Neil Gayman, am I right?

you can laugh when they name a race of aliens after you in Babylon-5.

>''Dude... DUUUUUUUDE... mythology....''
>''Dude... DUUUUUUUUUDE... what about... mythology on LSD?'' *rips a bong hit*
>''DUUUUUDE, I mean, DUUUUDE, what if cavemen ate magic shrooms and.... dude... this is how God was born... this is totally... duuude'' *spliff*

Wolfe deserves it. Gaiman is lucky people don't bother cultivating their taste.

like a lot of people, i got into Gaiman's work after reading Sandman.. and.. it's.. okay. he seemed to have the problem that Harlan Ellison has, where he writes up a storm but the story doesn't really have any kind of dramatic conclusion - it just runs on and then dribbles out.
and, wow, getting REALLY fucking tired of the "young girl trapped in a dream world of her own making" story.
