>mfw reading Adorno stopped me being a Nazi
>>9152580
good job m8 well done
>>9152580
but you were close to becoming a nazi huh? How's being 14 years old?
>>9152588
Adorno helped me to see my own pathology and the contradictions of my ideological belief.
I thank him for guiding me.
how does Adorno refute glorious National-Socialism?
Adorno is, just like National-Socialism
>anti-capitalist
>anti-enlightenment
>anti-exploitation of nature
>anti-americanization
>anti-degeneracy
>>9152610
You're missing a few key points of nazism.
>>9152580
> mfw Adorno convinced me to hate jazz and now I'm staunchly anti-fascist

>>9152615
you mean Hitlerism?
>>9152626
literally Reich-tier
you can't just pathologize ideologies you dislike and call it a day
Jameson is the only nuanced freudo-marxist theorist that has adressed fascism
How does Adorno's critique of mass culture/fascism apply within the context of Italian Fascism?
They didn't really have the whole anti-Jew thing going on. Mussolini, personally, didn't like Hitler and thought he was pretentious, Gramsci loved Gentile (the inventor of Fascism as a concept).
What went wrong?

Cringe post. Either read it or don't post.

>Jameson is the only nuanced freudo-marxist theorist that has adressed fascism
not that guy but do you have a link?
>>9152652
also fascism is a relatively amorphous ideology when compared to others
fascism doesn't mean jack shit, just look at all those pages upon pages of different definitions
>>9152655
there's a book on Wyndham Lewis
>>9152648
Isn't fascism, deep down, just a fancy word for good old fashioned absolute monarchy and the divine right of kings?
What's really the difference between Louis XIV and Mussolini?
>>9152686
Then does Adorno's critique even apply?
>>9152686
Fascism was massively popular among the common people and the lower middle classes. Fascism was quite revolutionary whereas absolute monarchs tended to be reactionary and conservative.
Can you imagine Louis XIV instituting the Strength Through Joy program or the Lebensborn?
>>9152642
>literally Reich-tier
But Adorno attacks Reich's interpretations of Hitler as a paternal figure.
>mfw listening to proto-industrial sounds that sample Adorno's lectures made me queer
