Purely on that book, and nothing else: Sidhartha obviously when it comes to popularity and quality. Huysmans - En route when talking about underappreciated pure kino quality. Alchemist from Cohelho when it comes down to books you get from your mother. All easy reads.
Feel free to expand that with outer works by same authors, and then you're free to enter the worlds of Dante and Milton. If you came out unscathed, you then turn to the likes of Thomas Aquina, Augustine of Hippo and Benedict XVI.
