i blew through both Hyperion books stoned last week & it was pretty enjoyable.
space-chaucer & it's follow up are pretty neat ideas.
i also went through the earthsea books last year high, which was pretty fun.

How can you read for plot while high?

I can't remember the previous sentence I just read anytime I read high

However, reading for prose/poetry and imagery is great while stoned.
Imo the best things to read while high are novels you have read before.

to be fair, i cheated & listened to the earthsea audiobooks while high (but read the last).
i never really had any problems reading high before, but it helps to do it in the right environment/state of mind.

Giacomo Leopardi's poetry, especially I Canti. If you're high enough you will feel in your soul cosmic depression in its most intense form. It's almost erotic.

non meming? i read and loved ulysses while stoned off my gourd. pretty sure some of the events that i remember from the book were my mind continuing along with certain moments that joyce wrote.
