Nah, my eyes get tired really quick from the monitor., nevermind the constant alt-tabbing to 4chan and pornos

Where do you live? Why can't you use Kindle?

I read on my phone with a blue light filter. The reader takes up the whole screen (so no distractions) and it's easy to hold it in one hand and turn pages with the volume buttons

People read entire books on their phones. I used to read on my screen all the time until I got the kindle.

I used to read novels on my 2.5'' flash-player screen when I was in uni. Fucked up my vision good

you just have to get used to it my dude. you say you can't get kindle, does that mean the e-reader? if so, you can still install kindlein your pc, its pretty good, can change the font, font-size, words per line, etc.

i couldn't read in the pc too but got used to it, although I just read books that i can't really find in stores.

try to start with smaller books. once I finished a whole book in my pc i realized it was not so bad. I started with short plato's dialogues, then some shakespeare's plays. now i am reading V., largest book I have tackled in my pc and its going well

watch movies

I read half of one once then later read it again in hard copy and didn't realise until I was almost finished that I'd read it before. Not great memory retention on LCD.

Not only do I read on my PC at home, but I MOSTLY read on my fucking phone because the nature of my work doesn't allow me to carry big bulky books or ebooks with me around.
It's a matter of comfort and availability.

I actually started to prefer the eye strain of screens. Destroying my eyes remind me of my mortality.

You almost have to read in an uncomfortable position so as not to contaminate your mental experience with bodily comfort.

For /lit/ things I exclusively use physical copies but for some reason I will read stupidly long erotica on my computer.
