Thinking of reading it to my 6 year old, so I dug it out of my mums attic. Turns out it was much, much denser than I remember.
This shit was what I was all about though.
I didn't read it until high-school but I didn't manage to finish it.
Redwall was the shit
Didn't read more than like the first 3 though, didn't the author put out like 50 sequels
I read a good chunk of them between the age of 12-16. Great way to introduce kids into denser fiction, and fantasy (even though any hard fantasy outside Tolkien is garbage, Redwall is more fantasy-lite). He got a little formulaic for a while with about half of the books following the exact same story and character beats but the other half are really good.
