By this metric, most "professional philosophers" are not actually philosophers. That is, they love dogma, which is static, instead of knowledge, which is pegged to thinking and is dynamic.

To be wise means to have knowledge. Yes, the literal translation of "sophia" is "wisdom," but phrasing it that way implies more of a state than a process. That is, there is a common misunderstanding of "wisdom" as an object to be "acquired" in the same way that "selfishness" has come to mean "hedonism."
