(It's not like you have anything to do on Valentine's Day, so you might as well spend it reading)
To anyone remotely interested, this is the work that Wilde was obsessed about in prison, then took inspiration from, after this release.
Bumping for you. May the gods prevent you from getting banned.

I'm the Wilde ref poster.
Nothing wrong with that. Like Eco observed, pulp works offer a truth about the world that Art cannot.
>Great Art makes fun of us as it comforts us, because it shows us the world as the artists would like the world to be. The dime novel, however, pretends to joke, but then it shows us the world as it actually is—or at least the world as it will become... The fact is, it's easier for reality to imitate the dime novel than to imitate art.
I reference Eco a lot, he probably shaped me more than any other author.

if the link doesn't work, you got banned.
Damn, I'm in the middle of "The Recognitions" and was planning to read this afterwards. I'm afraid I'm gonna do this delayed.

That would be quite nice actually
I read this about two years ago. Some of the Tale of the Indians is stilted and bit of a chore to get through, but the conclusion features some of the most beautiful and horrifyingly evocative prose I've ever read.
Is there any other recommended Gothic reading?
WELL HOWDY DOO
TIME FOR BUMP NOW OKAY
