How many books do you own /lit/ ?
The fact that most people have under 30 books is quite scary i'd say but it does explain a lot.
I'll start, i would say i have 3 shelves of around 200 books, so about 600.
Although i only keep books i actually like and give away the others.
So tell me your numbers, every book counts (even garbage like J.K. Rowling)

I have no idea, but I have 3 bookshelves of varying sizes and don't have enough room for them.
Around 7200. I have started throwing or giving books away If I know I'll never read them again.
well over 1,000. running out of space :(

i probably have around 100.
>quite scary but it does explain a lot
what exactly does it explain? be specific little man.
I guess in my whole house there are more than a thousand books, but if I only count the ones I own I'd have to say around 300.

stopped counting around 400, I probably have around 450 right now. But I've only read about 100, I buy a lot of used books at thrift stores.
I own about 10 but I read about one novel per week. I'm a poorfag. All books borrowed from the library otherwise I get them for the kindle (free). I ought not to invite anybody over, otherwise they may be under the impression that I don't read - what a terrible blow to my self esteem that would be.

I just counted and I own 171 books in my small student apt.

Like 70, but i started reading seriously about 2 years ago and i'm still young, so it isn't a bad number

A little over a hundred, a pretty significant chunk of them unread.

I do this almost impulsively, especially with poetry. I can't stand the thought of these books ignored and ultimately destroyed.
Around 1,400 total. Specifically:
Main Library (1,179)
Graphic Novels (82)
Children's Library (129)

The number of books in a home does correlate to how well the children in the home succeed, to a point.
