Simple: the Oxford Annotated Bible which uses the NRSV translation. I have it as a pdf.

The NET Bible functions as a study bible, and it's free. It's fairly well-liked, too.

While we're on the subject, and despite the dozen or so threads that were made last month, I'll ask: is there a solid edition of the KJV with the original spelling and grammar. I mean, I don't want the firft "s" in a word to be an "f" but I do want something as epic as Paradife Loft.
