The Story of Philosophy is garbage and the other two are translations. So yes.

Is there something better out there?

op, it doesn't really matter what intro to philosophy you read because ultimately if you decide you like it, you'll just read all those thinkers and form your own opinion on them anyway. just read it for exposure purposes and then start reading whatever you like based on what you read (imo reading an introduction to philosophy means you don't necessarily have to start with the greeks)
re gogol and kafka, you should decide if you want to read literature or read philosophy. it's possible to do both but you won't get very far splitting your time between the two of them, especially since you should be focusing on school anyway.
don't worry about being a pseud, as cliche as it is, be true to yourself
I found Durant's Story of Philosophy a nice fun intro to a lot of philosophers. I wouldn't look to it for anything other than an intro though. It gives you a nice little survey to start from, based on a heavy mixture of personal/biographical details with the intellectual stuff. Don't expect systematic rundowns of philosophical systems.
Nothing wrong with reading Gogol and Kafka. Everyone here is a fucking pleb, dude. Just read lots and you'll be fine. If you read a few major stories of Gogol and three or four other major Russian authors, you're already above 95% of this board.

Because you're reading books that interest you? No, of course not.

What does reading translations have to do with being a pseud? You can make the argument that you can't actually appreciate a work unless you read it in the original, and I'd agree, but there's nothing pseudo-intellectual about it.

I don't know it, so can't give you an opinion there. The first book on philosophy I read was Russell's, which is a classic but not very up-to-date. Both of the other books are ones everyone ought to read.

I disagree that it doesn't matter. There are good, well-written ones and there are bad ones. Just like any other kind of book.
If you want a good introduction to Philosophy I suggest Russel and Scruton
