Looking for some suggestions on Samurai books. Fictional or nonfictional i guess. I'm looking to write a script based on them and looking for suggestions on books that shows a good glimpse into what goes on in their lives were like.
I just recently bought this, its been pretty good and insightful so far, but im looking to see if theres something that just helps give more of a focus on samurai lives and what they go through. I'm not even half way through this book so im sure ill get more insight but im just looking to see if anyone has any better suggestions for me to look into.
Thanks in advance.

That's tough because samurai lived differently throughout history.
Book of Five Rings
Tale of the Heike
Just read the Hagakure
For Samurai during the Sengoku/Edo periods, try Shogun for fiction, and Everyday Life in Traditional Japan by Charles J. Dunn for information on their daily lives. (Along with many other citizens like doctors, farmers, etc)
Cleary's Soul of the Samurai, I guess a counterpart for that could also be of use to you.
SLIPPER WIELDIN
Read anything you can about miyamoto musashi.
