I wouldn't change the existing alphabet.
Maybe I would introduce new symbols for certain phonetic blocks that alter the pronunciation.
The German "sch" is common in many words and I think it would be smarter to just introduce a symbol like the Russian "Ш" as replacement. Same goes for "ch".
Maybe it wouldnt be too bad to have some symbols for really prevalent words like "and".

English needs to bring back the þorn and optionally þe eð as well.

Þe þorn is a beautiful letter þat would get rid of þe ugly digraph 'th' which is all too common in English orþography.
