A baby's introduction to philosophy would be Bertrand Russell.
From that you would go back and start with the Greeks and start the normal way.
Schopenhaur isn't the final boss but he's really fun.
Hegel is the conclusion.

Starting someone with Russell is akin to being a child abuser.
>studying philosophy after Witty
Why even waste your time?
the best introduction is probably some sort of general book about history of philosophy - it can be a schoolbook or anything, really, just to give you some idea about what philosophy is, basic terminology and so on,introduce you to some basic ideas
and then "the Greeks", which basically means the main works of Plato and Aristotle in this context

Procreation is an immoral act. The human race are the only beings capable of realizing that life has no purpose, so it has a moral duty to oversee its voluntary extinction.

Just start with Descartes or get a norton anthology, I thinks it's two volumes. If you read a history of philosophy as your intro ill be mad at you.
