A lot of their aphorisms concerning these topics are great but I was looking for literature/novels.
It's all self-help. You gotta start creating not consuming.

The wisdom of insecurity, by Watts, but it is not very /lit/ I guess

tou could try some bildungsromans, where the book usually starts with an innocent child full of insecurity and doubt and eventually find themselves living happily ever after due to deus ex machina! wait, nvm.

Appreciate the recommendation, but I've always been hesitant to read Watts have him categorized as a pseud for some reason, this book isn't gonna go into "brain chemistry" and bullshit like that is it?

Some Nietzsche, preferably from Beyond Good and Evil, or The gay Science

>brain chemistry
Nope, not at all, at least not in this book, it's more about searching wisdom in different places, essentially Buddhism, christianism and literature, he describes himself as a philosophy entertainer, so nothing really serious or deep or new, but it's worth a read

Cheers, I'll look into it
