It's like 20 pages, just read it if you want.

The manifesto was propaganda for working people. It's nothing great or essential, really. For an introduction to Marx, Wage Labor and Capital would be a better choice, which is also around 20 pages.

It's like literally just a pamphlet my dude. You could read it in under an hour. Not a huge time sink.

Concerning whether it's all memes or not, it's kind of interesting even if you don't agree with any of it (I personally don't agree with much of it). It represents a certain current of history and if you want to learn about that current then the Manifesto is a decent way to get your feet wet. I would say as a document in and of itself it's kind of overblown and reductive.

If you really want some Marxist theory and their development over the years, read all of the Fabian Tracts.

They go over everything, from Mark & modern "Democratic Socialists" to Keynes & Classical Liberal counter-arguments, eugenics, creation of labor parties/Union infiltration, failure of Soviet Communism & the welfare state alternative.
