fit the lyrics to the song. good lyrics are those which reflect well their musical surroundings. this is why mediocre poets can be great lyricists.
read poetry but dobnt try to replicate it exactly cuz youll sound like a hell of a fag if you do

>Exodus
I can't tell if this is supposed to be bait or if you're just stupid

this post does not reek of "frustrated talentless hack" at all

Listen to gospels or Christian rock or those nigger singing in a church

Rule number one: Unless you're planning on doing some lyrical miracle boom rap from the 90s make sure to show and not tell, dont be a talenteless pseud by spelling out the message of your song, describe it, vaguely, but not too vaguely. Your song should reflect a state of mind, something more corporeal than a fleeting feeling.
listen to pic related or Tom Waits for a good example

It all depends on what genre of music though so take my very general advice with a grain of salt, not that lyrics are all that important when you have the aid of production and instruments to convey whatever it is you're planning on writing about.

Great album.
Good songs have to have good ideas behind them. If you something worth talking about then then lyrics will practically write themselves.
