I thought it was decent. The postmodern without being excessively so. The stuff about his childhood drags a bit (i think the whole first part of the book drags a bit). Lot of good pathos.

The first maybe 75-100 pages were pretty good, I thought, but the remaining...500? Jesus... were terrible. Truly execrable. I am angry that I read it, even though it was very easy to read. It's not a masterpiece. It's not postmodern. It's just shit pseudo-literary airport fiction gussied up like real literature.
