It's about tennis, drug addiction, a crazy filmmaker, and much more. You will understand it after you read it.

It's not bad, it's just a failure from a technical point of view. Reading it in the span of a week was one of the strangest and most remarkable experiences I have ever had.

am i a pleb if im finding infinite jest more enjoyable than gravity's rainbow? i'm not saying it's necessarily better. Just that gravity's rainbow was a chore at times and so far IJ has been fun

Exactly. I got addicted. It was about 8 hours a day, until the last day, when I read for 12 hours or so.

Same happened with Don Quijote, by the way. I finished it in 5-6 days, I think. Both parts.

I think you mean its ridiculous to subject readers to it. If anything you cannot take away how technically sound it is.
