but the basic books that you will be reading are iliad and odyssey.

if you want other literature that has contributed to this world somehow, i'd recommend A Personal Matter. short but really good. you can go check other lit charts for recommendations, maybe read some hesse? (not siddhartha though)

also one thing more, no need to read non-fiction for it to have some merit desu. forgot to mention that. if you want non-fiction, go check out plato and stuff
