Listen friend. The day I turned 18 I never went back to school. I have always been a fuck up so it was my destiny, but if you want a good life, and you have any belief in yourself please, don't make this mistake. Things may be awful. You may not be able to stand it, but once you are over the initial buzz of being free, you realize that life just goes on and on and you pay for every decision you make.

Don't dropout and don't do drugs. DON'T DROP OUT AND DON'T DO DRUGS. You have everything right now. Don't fuck it up because things suck. Life sucks unless you are strong enough to deal with it. I wish I knew that when I was your age.

One time, I was in an antique bookstore, and I slid a book into my pocket where I had my own book. I asked the owner if he had a book by author x, but instead of pulling my book out, I pulled out the book I'd just stolen.

Internally, I was shrieking, but outwards I just said: whoops, wrong one, and pulled out the other one.

But it was an antique bookshop, and I'm the kind of person who carries old lyric books around in my pockets, so...

God, I was a stupid little shit. Luckily, it's years behind me. The last time I stole something I had a panic attack.
