People here are gonna recommend you self-help shit like "Power." Not that it's a bad recommendation, but it's only a small part of the process. That's the attitude, but what you want is the method, and for that what you want to read is literature on deception. Deception IS manipulation (plus persuasion, of course), for an effective method is all about crafting narratives.
