In your own opinion, what is the single most important book that everyone on earth should read?

The Bible, desu senpai. You can't really appreciate western literature without some familiarity with it.

These are the most garbage threads on /lit/. I'd rather a Turner Diaries discussion or "Muh top 5 books EVER" Or "Is 1984 gud?"

In Search of Lost Time
The God Delusion
Guns, Germs, and Steel
If you live anywhere outside of Asian it's obviously the Bible...I wouldn't necessarily demand that everyone read it. Specifically the KJV. The Bible is basically the foundation for modern Western thought as well as language, law, morality, etc. Even most relevant secular thought is advanced from attempts to escape from the Biblical foundations of the moder West.

How do you fully appreciate western literature without knowing about the Bible, though? The King James Bible and the works of Shakespeare are so foundational for English language literature that you're really doing yourself a disservice if you ignore them.

Much of that has been debunked.
When reading non-fiction that makes extraordinary claims, after you close the book google "[title of book] debunked". You owe it to yourself.
