What are some comfy books to get me started again into literature and in general use them to unwind after reading some difficult philosophical books?

Where is that in OP's picture, Italy? Seems cozy.
I'd recommend something like Dickens, Hugo, Cormac Mccarthy.
The Chronicles of Conan - Robert E. Howard
The Summer Book - Tove Jansson
Fables - Aesop
Anything by Lem

I'd recommend Bolano then. The first part, The Part about the Critics, is super cozy. Especially the friendship between the three characters. Szerb is also nice if you like traveling a lot, most of his novels involve traveling or wandering around some country aimlessly. Start with Journey by Moonlight.

Yes the picture is Italy, no idea about the city but I always found cities like this extremely beautiful and comfy and even more in the summer

Man, Steinbeck is comfy. Travels with Charley is perhaps the comfiest book ever written. Cannery Row, Sweet Thursday and Tortilla Flat are also very, very comfy, and greatly suited for winding down after more intense reading.
