In all seriousness he kind of was. His only truly good book is 2001 and him and Kubrick developed the story together.
Rama, Fountains of Paradise and Childhoods End are all enjoyable but they aren't even Asimov level and those are considered his crown jewels.
Apart from 2001 the best thing he wrote was How the World Was One, which was pretty dope.
