Why isn't this more talked about on /lit/?
I think it's equally as good as Stoner or The Death Of Ivan Ilyich.
I ordered it but it didn't come
seems obscure
i read it in italian, a very dry prose. i didn't find it depressing, i think the ending was uplifting and almost hopeful
It made me want a cape

Has anyone read anything else by Buzzati? Any recommendations?
It was good, solid novel. Nothing really exceptional.

The Tartar Steppe and Poem Strip are his most accessible books.
His shirt stories are probably his best stuff but they are long out of print. Although I do remember someone uploading scans of Restless Nights to /lit/ a few years back.

Maybe we ordered from the same place? I ordered mine a few weeks ago. It hasn't come yet, but I'm not too worried. I'm sure it'll come eventually.

I ordered mine in November, I don't think it's coming. Hopefully it's a different place you ordered from.

i'm sure if you wait about 4 months, it will come. maybe two years, though.
I recently, somehow and rather unexpectedly, turned 30. Where did my 20s go? I thought there was more time?
Then I accidentally read The Tartar Steppe and it gave me major feels.
