If I pencil, I'll write about 500 words before I get bored or my hand cramps up. (I clutch the pencil too hard)
If I type, I can do 1000 easily, but 2000 is tiresome.
The quality is better in pencil, but typing makes it much easier to edit and flesh out something that's connected.
