My lecturer told that all movies sucked

>can't be bothered reading a 100-page novella to find out
Perhaps you'd be more at home on /a/.
It's not a hard read, so find out yourself.
I personally didn't like it.
>>9011848
why don't you read it and decide
>>9011848
I'm not American so the whole portrait of the roaring 20's and the american dream thing did not do much for me. The prose game is really on point though
>>9011860
ur lecturer is a faggot
tell him i said that
It's okay. Fitzgerlad turns his characters into motifs and the scenes lock into eachother like a badly manufactured jigsaw. There are times, however, where you can sympathise with Gatsby on an emotional level. The book's greatest asset is its prose, from what I remember.
That's what I remember from reading it a few years ago, my recollection of the actual prose is blurry at best.
