My wife and I read this on a lark (you will finish it in a few hours). We enjoyed Girls because it was self deprecating, and she was much more aware of the world around her than she seems now. Anyways, her burgeoning mental illness is quite obvious, her sex crimes clearly and naively stated, and her sexual conquests quite disgusting. You also begin to realize she was raised in one of those households where if a boy starts wearing dresses because he sees his sister doing it, the parents start injecting him with hormones and calling him sally. I cant imagine reading it as a fan, but as a detached observer it had its moments, probably unintentional.
Its a bizarre work, but has its amusement value. Pic related gave me similar feels.

Shit-lit with merit general?

She isnt that smart.
The value comes in the picture of a dilapidated playboy mansion, with half the rooms walled off because Heff is a hoarder, and dogs pissing everywhere while Heff sits in the darkness looking at scrapbooks as his business fails around him because of streaming porn.
She probably had a ghost-writer (but maybe not, the prose-affect is very flat and she did have a college degree), but her descriptive ability is pretty good.

I wonder what's going to happen to Playboy after the old man finally croaks.
