Many editions of Shakespeare have the right page devoted to the text and the left one containing the footnotes. It's actually a good system, but only works when you have a lot of footnotes.

Have the read The Pale King?
The way the footnotes go on for pages is maddening at times. You have to always revert back to the page the endnotes started on. I'd rather just flip to the end, bookmark in place, and then flip back.
