Don't listen to the haters.
The book is very good to read and it was written for young adult audience so you can expect a few things but other than that it is worth the read if your into steampunk, alternate history types.
I read it in my highschool years and it was worth it.
It could've been a lot better with it's material, and the characters seemed flat.
Mind you, it is for young adults, so it's faults can be forgiven if for it's target audience.

This
It's a decent story for the audience it was aiming at and it did a well job on that too
Pretend your back to being 18 again when you start reading this book and you will start to feel young again then once you finish realized your no longer a young adult and feel depressed about it.

If I am to defend myself, I should say that I read the series in 6th grade.
I haven't turned 18 yet.
I shouldn't be on 4chan.
Report me while you still can.
