i saw a copy of this in my local oxfam bookshop yesterday. it was £2
i picked it up and looked at it and read the blurb but then i realised i have read the best book about ordinary civilians in ww2 (alone in berlin by hans fallada) and also i have read the worst, the steaming pile of turds that is the fucking book thief and decided i didn't need to read any more

i bought some chocolate in the shop tho. it was nice
