I bought it, not under /lit/'s recommendation, but because it's on a list as one of the all time greats. I agree. You either have to be full blood Irish, and read a ton of Shakespeare to understand it, or be willing to take the hours upon hours to look up all the references.
Outside of germany i really don't think arno is read by alot of people. He's a very difficult author ontop of his funky formatting which even some translators admit doesn't always have a purpose.

I own it. Book really isn't too hard to understand. I'm sure there is a lot that goes over my head, but most of it is people talking, with vulgar jokes layered in the text. that's it.
