I've never read anything DeLillo has written, but I got Zero K as a gift, thought it seemed interesting, and wondered if I should start with that or read some others first.
If so, what do I start with?
What are some of your faves?

Mao II is a good introductory novel and it's fucking great.

Thanks!

Mao II > Libra > whatever else
Zero K is very good but slow and MUST be read twice.
I must be alone in this cold, cold universe that's colder than a fridge-freezer left on its lowest settings because I really didn't like Mao II too much. From what I've read:
Underworld
White Noise
The Names
Libra
Angel Esmerelda (the short story collection)
Mao II
Americana
Post-ironically, Zero K looks kind of crap. I've heard nothing but average things about it so maybe start there as you have it in hand but with low expectations.
Pic related or "White Noise" are the best entry points, I think. If those two don't interest you, then stop reading him. He's quite "sameish" all the way through.

No pic :(

Why didn't you like Mao II?

Mao II will be extremely confusing if you've never read him before. White noise will come across as banal and unfunny. I recommend end zone or great jones street but I know you're not going to listen to me

Oh, I didn't dislike it per say. It's just that it's the only DeLillo novel I've read and forgotten completely. Something about crowds and international terrorism. I don't remember it having any compelling characters but it might have.
However, I think its place in history is pretty important. As Wiki states, it preempted some interesting cultural and political events so fair does to DeLillo for that.
DeLillo's a bit of a one-trick pony. If you've read one of his novels, you've read them all.
