Stoicism: Feels > Reals
Zeno, Seneca, Cicero, Marcus Aurelius. They are great.
>>8940942
No. Some are similar yes but others are way off of Shopes philosophy namely
>social responsibility
Shope was a recluse who thought only people of lesser intellect were concerned with social relationships as he outlines in The Wisdom of Life, my personal favorite of his.
We call Schopnehauer a cynic rather than a stoic.

What have Zeno and Cicero written? Haven't heard of them.

Try On Old Age and On Friendship by Cicero. They're nice and small and pretty cool. De Oficiis is his major philosophical work. Other than that he has more political treatises, a lot of letters, and a lot of orations.
