I love Hesse, especially Steppenwolf, Siddharta and Narcisse and Goldmund but i have to read this one.

Yes, it was very enjoyable but the ending is kind of lame but fitting after further reflection. The three autobiographies at the end are top-tier too, though I didn't really get the poetry and I'm not sure if it's because I was dense or because of general translation issues
I read it a long time ago but I'm old and forgot most of it. I remember really liking it though, I might give it a reread.
