I read it recently.
It's very interesting, very convincing. Could have used a better editor, since it's a bit long and the speed of the story varies troughout. He seems to lose track of the plot in the middle, but the end is godod.

Worth reading, especially because it's unlike any other book in Slovenian literature, the backstory is great and it offers some insight into the troubles of today.

I'd definitely recommend the poets, but I have no idea how much of their work is translated and if the translations are good except for Tomaž Šalamun.

I'd also recommend you anything by Ivan Cankar, but again, I don't know if translations exist.
