Chapters 46 through 50
Dantes' plots are becoming a reality. Villefort gets BTFO but seems to enjoy it. Little kids are awful. Morrels bring back emotions.

I love the Morrels, lads. The only good-hearted people in this story.

I just happen to be in chapter 49.
That reveal by Nortier though.
Checking in.

Seems like dantes is going to do something else for them, but they are perfectly happy. What if he fucks them up?
On Chapter 47 lads
So, what's your impressions of the book till now, anons?
Can you see any message the writer is trying to convey?
What about the prose, it's good, it's bad or have something interesting going on?
We are in the middle of the reading, should be good to discuss about the general impressions the book is giving so far.

Loving it so far. Mainly because it is just so entertaining.
I think the prose has some standout moments related to Dumas' own travel experience. I don't have any quotes on hand right now but some descriptions of the sea were real nice.
As far as a message I think we aren't quite there yet when it comes to learning about the nature of taking revenge. Is dantes going to have a happy ending?
So far it is very 'what goes around comes around, god will find a way to make someone an agent of his providence'.

>Is dantes going to have a happy ending?
This is one of the principal point of tension in the book for me. Is dantes going to be consumed by revenge or he's just going to make clean justice?
The character is really walking in a tightrope.
I think we should schedule 2+ more catch-up days spread in the reading. Thoughts?

It would be good.

Watching him fuck with everyone is really entertaining. I do wonder what will happen when his identity gets revealed (which i assume will happen at some point)
The prose is easy and enjoyable.

Sure, I can do that.
