I mostly purchase from Thriftbooks and the most I've ever run across are a few pen notes and underlines here and there. Nothing I would necessarily say was distracting.

If you buy from the same Half.com seller, additional books are only $1.89 for shipping. Many books are $0.75, so additional books are only $2.64. Seems cheaper than Thriftbooks.
