It looks like the sort of thing I might have read the satire of without needing to read the original text due to how obvious it is and at least that way there's some sort of depth to what I'm reading.

Listened to the first one on audiobook and it didn't really grab me. It was perfectly acceptable fantasy, but I've never been a huge fan of the genre past being a kid/teenager. I would have enjoyed it more back then I'm sure.
I liked Perrin in the woods and the tall golem at the end with the secret portal cave area or whatever it was.

The setting is better than any of the characters. I'm not exaggerating at all when i say every single female is written the same. They're all cruel, spiteful bitches incapable of gratitude or basic kindness. Most of the men aren't any better, really Rands descent into madness is the one thing that kept me entertained through the whole mess. Plus Sanderson butchers the ending in more ways then i can count.

First one was a pretty good self contained story, albeit pretty corny and cliche, but that comes with the genre. I tried reading the two that came after and did not care one bit

Overall fairly forgettable, I don't really like the genre aside from Tolkien. The metaphysical systems portrayed seemed sort of interesting, but it didn't catch me in practice and felt more like a cheap plot device

I've read up till book 9 and I cant go any further , it's just so boring all of a sudden , is it worth going further?
Also it's been a few years since I dropped it , should I bother re-reading or just read a summary?
