Is this series worth getting into?
Heard a lot of good things, and some bad ones too, but i dont ever see it discussed here
Opinions?

I read Gardens of the Moon and was lost for most of the story. There were references to things that (from what I understand now) show up in much later books.
The discussions I've read on /lit/ make it sound like you have to read the entire series at least twice in order to understand everything.

Judging by the covers, no. Definitely time that could be better spent.
I have the first book. I've had it for a year and never bothered... It is a lot of reading for something that is probably decent, but not as good as other things I could be reading.
There was an old meme on here that showed how by the time your read ASOIAF you could have read all these other classics and be a lot "better read". I get that isn't the goal for a lot of people

epic
I like that there's always something happening, even if we don't know why at the time.
It never gets stagnant (or it hasn't yet, i'm at book 5)
I'd recommend giving it a try
Dropped it when Silverfox showed up. What a terrible character.
What the fuck was he thinking?
