Also, in the past there was fuck all to do but farm/fish, so people got together and told stories to stave off the boredom and general misery of living on a cold, wet island in the Atlantic.

There's something about the landscape, too, but that's much too intangible and nebulous for me to think about now.

I greatly regret not being around in those times not in a muh born in wrong generation way but just to have seen a more honest Ireland not the way it is today probably some sincere younger people who want to express themselves through art but I don't know them hate to be an old person and see what youth culture is today. Not in a muh degeneracy way I just find the things a lot of Irish people enjoy to be vapid and for the "craic" not that there isn't a time and a place for that but it's all some people want
