>Sorcery and Religion in ancient Scandinavia
sounds interesting...
>by Varg Vikernes
nevermind
varg is an interesting guy but his ideas about scandinavia are pants on head retarded.

I agree that he can sometimes have a slightly warped and hypocritical view of history, but imo he has a pretty based interpretation of norse paganism.

actually though? i read some of what he wrote about killing euronymous and he writes like he's doing so for a livejournal.

Yeah I've read it.
It might be interesting enough to justify reading it since it's only 100 pages or so but I doubt that it's historically accurate.
It's basically a Golden Bough summary with a few references to Icelandic sagas.

satan? is euronymus with you?
>>8814414
I have. It's not really worth it.
His ideas are sometimes interesting but he seems to think sources are a Jewish conspiracy so he just pulls whatever he wants to say out of thin air and treats it as true

talking about this. interesting enough read, but it's almost too casual for the subject matter. in a boring way. it reads not entirely dissimilarly to how that chick that wrote my immortal would write her authors notes.

If by based you mean wrong then sure. The man has no idea what he is talking about. He has no qualifications and has not engaged in the academic literature on the subject.

Yeah but Det Som Engang Var is a bopperino so I don't really give a heck

>Det som engang va

So you want to read a non-fiction book that is completely wrong because you like his music?
