I'm about to start reading Discworld. What am I getting myself into?

I currently have access to the 41 main books and A Blink of The Screen collection. Is there any other supplementary material that's a must read?

You should start by going to reddit.

You should start by posting this in the /sffg/ or, better yet, /tg/.

Small Gods is the best book, and its disconnected from the main timeline so there's no reason not to start (and end) there. You can really start with literally whatever book you want though. Just, don't bother with the first three (or any, really).

I'm retarded. I didn't realize there was a /sffg/ thread.

For a number of reasons, yes.

I enjoyed them as a teenager, idk about now though. Last one I recall reading was Morty, or something. It certainly wasn't as good as the first two books. Light Fantastic was very good, I think.

So is this just the typical pseuds afraid to admit that they like fantasy or is there something about Pratchett in particular?
>>
>>8813515
It's like admitting that you enjoy Hitchhikers Guide here.

Pratchett in particular. Fantasy doesn't preclude literature.

Don't get me wrong, Pratchett's a good kid's author -- even a "young adult" author -- just not worthwhile if you're on /lit/.

i read one every time I finish something long, they're pretty quick reads. Also get good ideas for D&D.
