I saw this at the book store the other day. Is it really that bad?
>>8808029
Funny, but not accurate at all
>>8808092
confused cockroach man
>>8808079
That book is the first in a trilogy. I read it all the way through, and I have no plans to read the second or third books. Make of that what you will.
>>8808079
Quite bad. His battles are as bad as they get. Wouldn't say there are anime characters in it, more like super hero characters. But yeah, dull and stupid. There is one half decent siege in the book, but if you're into those, just go with Legend from Gemmell. Superior in every way.
>>8807674
can someone explain this to me? what is with the gay stuff.
And I made oc for Legend
>>8807235
>>8808141
Any books that actually feel like the expectation in this one?
>>8808421
It's shitty oc by me.
What I'm trying to say is that is has degeneracy.
Also once the guy named Pablo asks the Steppenwolf if he can have a threesome with him and Hermine.
>>8808518
2666
>>8808553
Is this really accurate? In that case I think I'll read that book
>>8808518
I posted it. 2666 has that vibe. Same author, similar style, but has an infusion of the dark mystery style
>>8807245
I made that.
>>8808930
what's that font?
posting the two I have
>>8809148
>2016
>not already using Garamond
>>8808113

>>8807634
Lmao
>>8809248
There's 20 garamond versions out there. Which one is this? I'm quite certain it aint adobes gpro, or eb one.
reposting
>>8808943
Already read it and I agree desu
Anything else
>>8809397

>>8809426
k-l overlapping, tall ending on m-r, that's some cheap overlap for adobe garamond pro.
>>8809031
omg ty
Just made this one
>>8809172
Such a great play, truly underrated. I like it more than Julius Caesar, not to seem like a contrarian or a hipster.

>>8810808
please don't make posts where you respond to every or nearly every post in a thread; it's abrasive, adds nothing, and isn't funny
>>8810641
such a silly way of looking at justice imo.
>>8807674
Kek. Accuarate as fuck. What a pile of shit
>>8810846

>>8810714

Anyone have the TCoL49 one with Charlie from Always Sunny in the mail room?
>>8808760
Yeah
>>8810994
was referring to the "Internal sanctions" not the external ones.
Going to jail for being a dickhead is fine, what I don't like is how he asserts that people shouldn't be able to feel good at the expense of other's utility and happiness should derive from utility. It just becomes an exploitable medium for people with any sense of cunning.
>>8808029
fucking spot on
>>8809636
fucking this.
>>8807381
my favorite fantasy series
>>8811990

Let me guess, one of the censored english translations?
>>8810714
Pretty good. I thought he went on a bit to long with the visuals (colors and spheres) while the main character was floating around.
Hey zed!
>>8815102
Except what you expected is in there plenty.
>>8811990

t. about to read that
>>8815130

not that anon
I've seen it used everywhere
Is it "thanks? Or "typical"? Or "to"??
>>8815146
Why did you read what was meant to be his modern down to earth magnus opus yet was never finished nor polished?
it feels insulting
>>8815157
it's finnish for "regards" (as in, signing a letter)
so in this sense it just means "from"
>>8814184
now that's a masterpiece
>>8814184
Fucking lol
>>8815102
>traduções
>>8807434
Its surprising when you read it that there are only two chapters worth about the Jews, while the rest is his life and his vision of Utopia
>>8810838
Fitzgerald's is "when Dawn spead her fingertips of rose,," which is clearly better but still just as often.
>>8808141

>>8808029
how can anyone read this and not get the expected in this picture?
>>8818637
Yep, same.
>>8815127
This, so much.
I'm reading it now and it is the most homoerotic thing I have ever read, and I've been stuck on here for the last 10 years.
>>8810716

I'll try my hand at some books I've read recently
Can someone please make or post one of Lolita. I'm curious what it's actually about but I'm not going to read it because I'm not a pedophile and I can make better use of my time.

>>8815157
t. = Terveisin (regards, from), followed in real world by a name, but in the meme world it is followed by a short characterization of the sender (t. other, t. jealous, t. about to read that)
Can be also sent just as a t.-post to a person in an effort to characterize him, usually in a mocking tone (t. samefag, t. swede, t. bydlo)
A variant of this, yt. (Ystävällisin terveisin [With kind regards]), is more common in the real world, but can be used to the same extent in the meme world
>>8811990
Uh, did we read the same book?
>>8819457
This IS A BLUE BOARD

I really enjoyed it too.I vizited a couple of times
Antalya's resorts but Pamuk opened for me another Turkey, more interesting and deeper. No doubt many things are difficult to understand for foregners in his books but nevertheless they make a strong impression.
As to SNOW it looks like Russian literature has influeced on Pamuk: he mantioned Turgenev in the book, Ka is like Dr Zhivago with his poems and those students of religious school are like Alyosha Karamazov this their talks about God.
>>8824960
Did you read in original Latin? Caesar writes like a 3rd grader.
