Its a very unusual philosophy book. Even most of Nietzsche's work is in a very different format from that book. If you read some of his other stuff it shouldn't be that hard, though it takes an unusual amount of consoderation to understand what he's actually doing.

I mean I thought they were. There are more subtle parts in those two books that I missed initially. Sound and the Fury isn't very difficult honestly. You just have to wait and things make sense as you read on.
