I've only read Less Than Zero by him. Was pretty good, liked the style.

American Psycho is literally a shorter story copy/pasted 3-4 times.

I only read AP and LTZ. LTZ>AP. I actually enjoyed both of them, but BEE has Murakami disease. His books are too similar, fairly confident I'm not missing out on much skipping the rest.
LTZ has possibly the worst book to film adaptation ever, as an aside, if there are any anons out there that are judging the book by Downer Jr's haphazard performance.

Is Rules of Attraction any good?

Is it worth it to read his other books after Less Than Zero, or should I just read Imperial Bedrooms since it's the sequel.

Well, depends what you expect from it.

It's just a view into the wasted lives of some upper class american teens (or whatever age they are supposed to be) that might or might not be realistic or not, in a time long ago.

that said, I found it quite an intersting read. both from its story (if you can call it that) and how its written, but yes, its quite similar to the other stuff I have read by him (less than zero and psycho).

Couldn't it just have easily been called "European Psycho"?

It could have been called lots of things. But Globalized Culture's Investment Class Psycho doesn't have that ring to it.

I could highly recommend Less than Zero and American Psycho to just about anyone.

If you liked Less than Zero, try Rules of Attraction (it's very similar).

If you liked American Psycho, try Lunar Park.

The Informers was okay. Imperial Bedrooms was really, really disappointing.
