I got the usual "thank you for your submission, there were lots of good submissions which made it hard, unfortunately due to the volume we can't give feedback on every piece".

But I have a trick up my sleeve. I have multiple personas and submit all my poems to the same magazine under multiple personas, which sidesteps the issue of only being allowed to submit a select number of poems per issue.

Keep trying. Don't compromise the quality of your work for the sake of becoming more marketable. Improve, edit, get second opinions from beta readers, do what it takes to identify your weaknesses and fix them. Stay strong and keep working on your book.
